BFP ARRIVES IN EGYPT! “Benban Solar Park” (Aswan)
We are proud to announce that Eng. Antonio Crisafulli, BFP’s Head of Engineering and HV Electrical Specialist, is one of the members of the Operating Committee for the connection of two PV plants with 130 MWp total power belonging to the “Benban Solar Park” project in Egypt.
The “Benban Solar Park” is a big complex of photovoltaic power plants under construction with a planned total capacity of 1650 MWp. It is located in Benban (Aswan Governorate) in the Egyptian Western desert, approximately 650 km South of Cairo and 40 km northwest of Aswan. Once completed, Benban will be one of the world largest solar parks.
“Benban Solar Park” is located in an area of 37.2 km2 which is divided into 41 separate plots (with size range from 0.3 km2 to 1 km2) arranged in 4 rows. The 41 plants in the “Benban Solar Park” will be connected to the high voltage network through four new substations, which are under construction by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC).
Starting from June 2019, Eng. Crisafulli is taking part in the Operating Committee Meetings in Aswan as an Independent Engineer. The other prestigious members of the O.C. are the PV Plant Contractors Elsewedy Power S.A.E., EDF Energies Nouvelles and Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC).
