19th April 2010 – Financed AES Solar Energy’s new 43MW photovoltaic plant in Cellino San Marco, designed by BFP

19th April 2010 – Near Cellino San Marco in (Brindisi), a 43 MW photovoltaic power plant conceived and designed by BFP, which is currently responsible for works supervision and safety coordination, will be operational by the end of the year. The plant, authorized by the Region of Apulia and already in the process of construction, is owned by a subsidiary of AES Solar Energy, a joint venture between The AES Corporation and Riverstone Holdings LLC, which announced that it has received € 173 million in financing to complete the project. The plant represents the largest photovoltaic project in Italy to have reached financial closing.

The Cellino San Marco 43MW, the first in Italy by AES Solar, will double its global operating portfolio, which currently includes 38MW across France, Greece and Spain.
